Whipple - Callender Architects has been designing houses for the Maine environment since 1975. We are LEED accredited, and we use local materials and current technologies as part of a comprehensive process geared to finding the most appropriate solution for each situation. We aim for designs that delight while they function extremely well, that respond uniquely to their sites, that reflect their times but avoid short-lived fashion. We value the effect that our buildings have on the people who use them every day over the impressions they make on a few occasions, the way they look and work for the next generation over the way they photograph when new. We collaborate with our clients and use a team approach with our builders.
