I have a keen interest in Maine home and design, but I wasn’t aware of your publication. Yesterday, I was at Intermed in Yarmouth and your current issue was in their waiting room. The striking cover photo caught my eye, and I was particularly interested when I saw that it was of a house very near my own—that I didn’t even know existed. I subscribed as soon as I got home.

Even though I’ve never been to Maine, MH+D takes me on a virtual vacation every month. I enjoy it from a design standpoint too—surprising and fresh—and definitely different and new in the category of print.

We live in Boothbay from May to October, where I have been purchasing MH+D. Maine is where we most feel at home so wanted to receive your magazine during the time we are in Naples. I can spend hours perusing the Maine magazines we receive; the advertisements are almost as inviting as the articles and photography.

I used to live in Portland, and visit quite often. My decorating taste definitely reflects my time in Maine, and I like how more of the Maine designers are meshing the old with the new.

My mother was born and raised in Bath, therefore I spent many vacations in Maine, and I try to visit as much as possible. I would love to retire anywhere in Maine one day. Your publication is beautiful, and I look forward to it showing up in my mailbox!

My daughter-in-law and her family have summered in Maine for years. She loves interior design and will be doing a new kitchen. Even though your magazine is Maine-specific, the designs are so classic, clean, and beautiful. She will love the subscription.

I send kudos to Maine Home+Design and Maine magazine. I am a subscriber and have enjoyed my several recent issues of both. Compliments on the slick contemporary graphics, photography, choice of paper stock, size, and format.

My folks are still in Maine and my mom often picks up your publication at the newsstand and sends it to me after she has finished reading it. We were in Maine on vacation last week and my in-laws who are looking for property to buy near Deer Isle had picked up the latest copy to get some ideas. I decided it was time to subscribe instead of hoping my mom will send me the latest issue. My job is in magazine production and I appreciate the way MH+D is put together and the quality of the photos and writing. Eventually, we hope to move back to Maine, but until then, Maine Home+Design will let us dream of the possibilities of what we can do to a potential home when we make it back.

My husband and I love MH+D! We received our first copy this past July when we were staying in Belfast. I have since looked at all the digital versions! We are having a boat built at Wilbur Yachts in Southwest Harbor and have made many trips to Maine. We’ve fallen in love with the place and are now in negotiations to open up our own medical practice in Belfast. Though we have a lovely house with great views of the Pacific, Maine seems a different sort of place, one that is more in tune with our values, and that may be worth the effort it would take to make the move. Your magazine has given us insights into the extraordinary craftsmanship available in Maine.

My sisters and I are hoping to take a two-week trip to Maine next year, and we wanted a magazine to enhance our daydreams as well as our plans while we are waiting. I looked for a Maine living type of magazine at one of the larger bookstore chains but didn’t find the feel I wanted. I spent an evening browsing online with various keywords and found yours.
I’ve spent most of my life in Oregon and miss it something fierce. There has always been something comforting, familiar, and very appealing in the photos I’ve seen of Maine and movies set on location there. I’ve thought of it as Oregon’s sister state, and I’m so looking forward to meeting it firsthand.
