We recently purchased a house in Cape Porpoise which we are in the process of renovating. I think Maine HOME+DESIGN offers a nice balance of traditional, transitional, and modern design. The overall layout of the magazine is visually appealing and the photography is beautiful. I sometimes buy Cape Cod and Islands Home magazine for “summer house” ideas, and I bet others would buy your magazine purely for its great design! I look forward to receiving it on a regular basis!

I’m an ardent reader and admirer of your magazine. The content, photography, design and printing—all excellent. I especially enjoyed Joshua Bodwell’s, “Sawdust of Happiness.” Keep up the good work. We’ll keep on absorbing it.

My wife and I are Maine lovers living in New York (we both went to Bowdoin) and often travel to greater Portland in search of the “just right” second home. I think we first saw your publication when we were staying in the Portland Harbor Hotel. It looked to have some great stuff inside! A lot of the articles and advertisements caught my eye, so I decided it would be fun to get monthly.

I’m so grateful to you for the foresight to create such a high quality, ALL MAINE magazine! This state is so rich in beauty, artists, appreciators of the inherent energy of this land and sea, I doubt you’ll ever run out of material to fill your pages. I’m mailing in my check for a subscription today.

My wife and I are on our second chance at life (both divorced). We always wanted to travel but in our previous lives that was not possible. After 11-plus years of marriage we decided to take a trip to Maine. We started with a trip that took us from Kittery to Lubec, and we fell instantly in love with your State. We hope to one day purchase property there and retire. We stay every Christmas at the Harraseeket Inn, and found a copy of MH+D in their lounge. I’m a career firefighter and carpenter on my days in between. I subscribe to a couple of magazines from the area, however yours looked “fresh.” Not the same lighthouse pictures at every turn.

I found your magazine in a Rite Aid store in North Conway, NH. I enjoy similar types of magazines, including Dwell and Metropolitan Home, but I have found your quality, editorial, pictures, and subjects covered to be far superior to the others. I can only hope that you will continue down this path.

I live near Edmundston, New Brunswick and work for a decorating firm in St. Jacques called Gauvin Drapery and Design. I was impressed with the content and production value of your magazine while browsing through it at a Rite Aid newsstand in Madawaska, Maine. After offering the magazine for review at the office and receiving very favorable feedback I thought it would be a good addition to our magazine subscriptions. I’m sure the projects will be inspirational.

I’m a Maine-registered landscape architect. I used to do design work for Gnome in Falmouth. I stopped by their office recently and they showed me the magazine. It’s great. Love the photography and clean simplicity of it all. Maine has so much natural and made beauty. I love that Maine Home + Design magazine will bring that beauty to my kitchen table and help inspire me to do great work.

I first noticed your magazine at Longfellow Books on a display right next to the check out. I picked it up and immediately liked what I saw. For awhile I’ve been picking up copies and purchasing them when I see something I really want to spend more time reading or looking at. I’ll be building a reproduction salt box next year on a piece of land in Limington and thought I’d go ahead and subscribe since your magazine is so well done and is full of beautiful ideas. Good luck, I’m sure you are attracting a loyal following and will continue to grow.
