An exhibition at Messler Gallery celebrates the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship’s 20th anniversary

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport. In honor of the occasion, the exhibition Turning Twenty opened at Messler Gallery in September. The exhibition celebrates the art of wood turning with contributions from more than 20 noted turners from across the United States and Canada. The work is as diverse as the artists themselves and explores the theme of celebration, the number 20, and the personal experience of exhibitors as instructors and students at the Center. The exhibition also marks the opening of the new Whittington Turning Studio and the expansion of the curriculum to include a 12-week Turning Intensive course.
