In our June feature “A Sparkling Sanctuary,” we showcased Liener and Karla Temerlin’s beautiful home on the tip of Goose Rocks Beach. With breath-taking waterfront vistas on three sides, the house required a clean interior design that would accentuate the views, not compete with them. Mary Louise Norton of ML Norton/Windemere Studios and Brett Johnson of Maine Street Design designed sharp, nautical-inspired interiors that let the views shine through.
Here, we feature a couple of the photos that didn’t make the story—the first-floor master bedroom outfitted in light, breezy fabrics and a cozy nook underneath a skylight in the stairway. “We had mattress made to fit the cove, then put a small TV up there, and a lamp. Now it’s a cozy place where you can just relax,” says Karla.
